If you live on the North Shore, hire Tom

So do you find yourself married to a not great person (Avvo is making me be nice here)? That was dumb and from here on out you can’t afford to be dumb. Hire Tom now! He guided me through a very tough divorce and custody battle. We went through two lawyers on opposition because he so firmly handled the first one. Tom knows how the other local lawyers operate and can give you insight into how the judges tend to rule on various issues. We were always steps ahead and in the driver’s seat for the entirety of the proceedings. Every trap they tried to set and issues that were being conjured up fell completely flat because Tom is that damn good.

So next up in the don’t be dumb category, listen to and do everything he tells you. You hired a lawyer for a reason. Tom will give you a very realistic prediction on what you can and can’t get in a divorce. Not listening to him will only cost you more money and jeopardize your chances of a favorable outcome. Opposition started at an unrealistic position and was forced to give ground while we stood firm. Opposition will try to paint you in a flat out false and damning image. Listen to Tom and keep your cool.

Most importantly if you are a man going through a divorce immediately hire Tom and follow everything I’ve said above. I had the privilege of being the primary parent and raising my children but that’s not always the case for men in this situation. Tom will be able to very accurately tell you what your best chances of custody will be and by staying realistic, with that outcome in mind you can better control where things will end up.

Lastly, Tom has a secret weapon. Her name is Maria and she rocks. She put in time when ever I needed it, guided me in mitigating issues before they could arise and jump ahead of the nonsense BS that is about to be hurled your way. I won’t divulge her trade secrets but she gives an amazing female insight as to what I (and you) will be up against. These two together are a dynamic duo.

So to recap, stop being stupid. Hire Tom and Maria, listen to them, do everything they say and don’t be dumb. You’ve been through enough and deserve to start your life over. So strap in, sack up and batton down the hatches you are in for a bumpy ride. With these two on your side you can weather the turbulence.
